First, exciting news: I have a new sewing machine!
No longer will I let the previous beast of a machine torment me! The new machine, a Janome, sews sooo smoothly in comparison..so I have been sewing a lot.
Here are a couple of recent finished objects.

When I saw this border print fabric, I knew it wanted to be a skirt. A lovely, long skirt, with butterflies flying all around near the bottom. Springy and pretty, with a bit of a vintage feel to it..

Once I finished, I was really tempted to keep it for myself, but I had already filed the fabric receipt away as a business expense..so it’s in the shop. For now.

Yesterday, I dug out this awesome patchwork fabric that I’d been hoarding for five years now. I used it to make a dress in Lyra’s size, and I’m offering it in custom sizes in the shop.

I’m terribly lucky to have a baby so willing to play dress up!
